A Taste of Mexico at Haverford College!

Join us for a culinary adventure to Mexico and the Southwest! In this class, students will learn how to make their favorite Mexican dishes, including empanadas, salsas, guacamole, tortilla chips, quesadillas, tres leches cake, and more. We will explore the unique flavors and ingredients of this popular cuisine and learn how to prepare traditional dishes from scratch. Get ready for a week of delicious and fun-filled cooking! Ole’!We'll even make homemade cinnamon buns, perfect for a special weekend breakfast or brunch. And for those who want to try something new, we'll teach students how to make a delicious strata, a layered breakfast casserole that's easy to customize with a variety of ingredients.

Through our Breakfast for Dinner classes, students will learn essential cooking techniques, such as how to properly whisk eggs, how to cook pancakes and French toast to perfection, and how to create a flaky pastry crust for quiches and stratas. They'll also learn about the importance of balance and flavor when it comes to creating a well-rounded meal.
