We’re so excited to share highlights from our very first week at our Plymouth Meeting campus this summer! Our Kids Summer Cooking Camp — Summer Sensations brought together curious junior chefs for a week filled with fresh flavors, hands-on learning, and plenty of fun in the kitchen.
Under the guidance of Chef Jarrett and Baking and Pastry Chef Megan, our young chefs explored new skills like mixing, chopping, grilling, and baking — all while learning about food safety, teamwork, and the joy of creating meals from scratch.
Here’s a taste of what our talented junior chefs whipped up this week:
Savory Highlights:
Fresh Pico de Gallo and Mexican Crema to pair with cheesy Quesadillas
Pasta alla Norma featuring oven-roasted eggplant and fragrant basil
Creamy Summer Corn and Vegetable Risotto with sweet corn and pancetta topping
Personal Pizzas with homemade sauce and fresh mozzarella
Sweet Treats:
Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookies with Sea Salt
Moist Chocolate Zucchini Bread
Soft Blueberry Oatmeal Cookies with Lemon Glaze
Fluffy Strawberry Cream Cheese Scones drizzled with vanilla glaze
Every day was an opportunity for our campers to build confidence and try something new — and they did an amazing job! We loved watching them taste, share, and take pride in their creations.
