Our second and final week in Limerick Township was the perfect way to wrap up another memorable summer at this wonderful location! From June 29–July 3, junior chefs joined us for Chop, Sizzle, Serve!, a week filled with hands-on cooking, teamwork, and plenty of opportunities to build confidence in the kitchen.

Throughout the week, campers strengthened essential culinary skills including knife safety, sautéing, seasoning, and proper food preparation while creating a variety of flavorful recipes from scratch. Guided through each recipe step by step, our junior chefs learned not only how to cook, but also how ingredients work together, why different techniques matter, and how confidence grows with every dish they prepare. Whether trying a new vegetable, perfecting a sauté, or proudly plating their finished meal, every day brought new accomplishments worth celebrating.

Leading the kitchen once again were Chef Kevin and Instructional Assistant Chef Sara, who made an outstanding team throughout our two weeks in Limerick. Their enthusiasm, encouragement, and dedication created an environment where every junior chef felt welcome, supported, and excited to learn. Together, they inspired campers to ask questions, try new flavors, and take pride in every recipe they created.

This week's menu featured fresh seasonal favorites and camper-approved classics:

  • Day 1: Zucchini and Corn Fritters

  • Day 2: Ratatouille Pasta

  • Day 3: Chicken Stir Fry with Noodles

  • Day 4: Summer Vegetable Risotto

  • Day 5: "Fri-YAY!" DIY Personal Pizza Day

One of the highlights of the week was seeing so many familiar faces return to the kitchen. We welcomed junior chefs back from the previous week, several campers who joined us again after attending last summer, and even a returning sibling duo from Summer 2025 who introduced friends to the Create-a-Cook experience. Watching returning campers share their excitement, encourage new friends, and grow even more confident in the kitchen is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

As we conclude our Summer 2026 season in Limerick Township, we are incredibly grateful for everyone who made these two weeks so special. Thank you to all of our families for trusting us with your junior chefs and allowing us to be a part of their summer adventures. Whether campers joined us for one week or both, we hope they leave with new culinary skills, lasting friendships, and memories they'll cherish for years to come.

A special thank-you goes to Chef Kevin and Instructional Assistant Chef Sara for their hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment to creating an engaging and positive learning environment throughout both weeks. Their passion for teaching helped make this another successful summer in Limerick.

Thank you, Limerick Township, for another wonderful summer. We look forward to cooking with many of you again next year!
